  • will your device workon samsung galaxy s3 and a toshiba thrive tablet

    • Hi Eric,

Yes! as per our compatibility list our reader works with the Samsung Galaxy s III. We do not however have any testing on the Toshiba Tablet. However, we have just one card reader for all devices. I would recommend getting the reader for your Samsung Device and then trying it on the tablet to see if it works. If it does, please let us know so we can add it to the list. Thank you for your interest!

  • Will this work for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet?

  • will it work on windows rt tablet?

    • Currently the mobile credit card processing application will not work on a Windows RT tablet. The product works on iPhone, iPad, select Androids and select Blackberry products. Please see compatible phone / Tablet list on our site.

  • ok thanks.

too bad cause the one offered on windows rt fee’s are too high.

  • I have an HP Elitepad 900. Win 8, Android. Business based tablet. All new this year. I’m assuming the usb swiper is compatible. Is this correct?

    Jerry Beranek

    • Hi Gerald,

Our USBSwiper ( card reader is compatible with Windows PC’s (all versions) and MAC computers. The USBSwiper credit card reader is NOT compatible with Mobile Devices. Our MoblePhoneSwiper is compatible with all iPhones (other than iPhone3) iPads, Androids (per our compatibility list) and Some Blackberry models (again based on compatibility list) all on our website. Thank you!

  • Is the card swipe interchangeable between different mobile phone lines rather than line.?

    • Hi Russ and thank you for your inquiry!

Yes! you can download the Free PhoneSwipe Application to as many compatible devices that you would like. Once you enter your merchant account credentials into that application you may use it on that device or any other that is set up with the same merchant account credentials. You may also purchase additional encrypted card readers from us if you need for the additional devices.

Thank you for your inquiry and if you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us!

  • Does your device work with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone and/or the ASUS Nexus 7 (Google) tablet?

    • According to our Compatibility list on our site, the following Nexus Phones are showing as tested and compatible with our card reader device:

      Samsung Nexus S – AT&T – 2.3
      Samsung Nexus S 4G – Sprint

I do not see any listing for the ASUS Nexus 7 Tablet although that does not necessarily mean the device will not work with it. It could be that our device has not yet been tested with that particular phone or tablet. Since applying for our phoneswipe program is free, you could just apply for our merchant account and pick any phone or tablet device on our list. We only have one card reader so it does not matter which phone or tablet you pick, the same card reader will be sent. If the Application will download to your device, you may still be able to process credit cards manually on that phone or tablet and then card reader may work. Might be worth trying. Of course if it does work, you could let us know and then we can add that to our list.

Thank you and if you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.

  • I have a Blackberry playbook with only wifi access, no other blackberry tablets have been listed, would it be possible that it would work for my tablet?

    • Hi Katie

It is possible that the program may work on your device. It costs nothing to apply for the program and then you can download the application onto your tablet and see if you can at least set up the application. Then if you can do that, try the credit card reader and see if that will work. It will only take a small amount of time to see if that particular device will work with our program and it wont cost you anything except a few minutes of your time.

  • Under your supported iOS phones you do not mention T-mobile. I would expect the application and communications to be carrier agnostic. Please advise.

    • Hi Chris,

Yes for the IOS platform, typically the carrier is not important however some of the lower carriers such as Boost Mobile etc do not have strong enough data plans to support the credit card processing. I don’t believe there should be a problem with T-Mobile thought for the IOS platform.

      Thank you for your inquiry.

  • I have a Trio Stealth Pro…android tablet. would the phone swiper work with it or would I be better off with the usb swiper for my acer pc?

    • Hi Tamera,

I just answered your last question first. Based on that, you can try our MobilePhoneSwiper product for your Trio Stealth and if that doesn’t work, our USBSwiper program for your laptop would be an excellent alternative as well.

The problem with Android Tablets… well Androids in general with any audio jack type card reader (Square, Intuit, PayPal Here, etc.) is that there is a certain power requirement for the card readers to work. Since there are so many different manufacturers and so many different models of Android devices, there is no standard for these power settings. Therefore only a certain number of Androids (whether it be tablets or phones) have the power needed for the card reader devices.

Our card reader is certainly one of the best on the market but it also requires the same power as any other. Our list of compatible devices is comprehensive but we just can not test every single make and model out there.

If you would like to speak with me further on that, please call me at 224-677-0283.

      Thank you!

  • Is the mobile swiper compatible with a Trio Stealth Pro?

    • Hi Tamera.

If the device is not listed in our compatible devices list, it either means it has been tested and is not compatible or it has not been tested. There are so many devices coming onto the scene that it is virtually impossible for us to test them all. Since it costs nothing to apply and get the card reader, I would recommend applying for the product and once approved we will send you the reader free of charge. In the application section it will ask you for the type of device you want to use the reader with. Since we only have one reader, any device you pick will get the same reader sent. Once approved try downloading the software (instructions will be sent). If you can download the software and set it up, you may very well be able to use the product on your device. If it does work, please let us know so we can add it to the list. Thank you!
